Atlantic Renewable is actively developing wind projects in three separate “hubs” of activity:

1. New York Northern Tier: Atlantic Renewable has four development projects within approximately 75 miles of Syracuse, NY with a total capacity potential of 300 MW. These projects will meet the growing demand for green power in the NY/New England regions, which demand is driven both by consumer preferences as well as legislative mandates (e.g., New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maine all have Renewable Portfolio Standards). Atlantic Renewable's first project in this region, the 11.5 MW Madison project, went into commercial operation in the summer of 200. The Madison project is the generating source of the Pure Wind product of PG&E National Energy Group. Atlantic Renewable's second project in New York, the 30 MW Fenner wind project went into commercial operation in December 2001.

2. Appalachian Highlands: Near the intersection of Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia located approximately 125 miles west of Washington D.C. Atlantic Renewable is currently developing five projects with an ultimate capacity potential up to 200 MW. The projects all interconnect with the PJM power grid and therefore are able to provide Green Power to the emerging Green Power market in the Mid-Atlantic region that is driven by the emerging retail (electricity) market, Renewable-Portfolio-Standard requirements in New Jersey and Federal customers centered in Washington D.C. Atlantic Renewable's first two projects in this region, the 15 MW Mill Run project and the 9 MW Somerset project were constructed during the summer of 2001 and went in commercial operation in October 2001. The 66 MW Mountaineer Wind Energy Center (formerly known as the Backbone Mountain project) in West Virginia entered into commercial operation in December 2002. Atlantic Renewable's latest project in this region is the 30 MW Meyersdale Wind Energy Center which is currently under construction.

3. Offshore: Atlantic Renewable has started to explore the development of wind power projects off the New York (Long Island) and New Jersey shorelines. The limited availability of onshore wind sites in combination with the availability of excellent offshore wind sites in close proximity to major electrical load centers on the east coast is prompting Atlantic Renewable to start up offshore wind power development. The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities recently awarded Atlantic Renewable a grant to conduct a feasibility study for the construction and operation of offshore windpower off the New Jersey coastline.

Atlantic Renewable develops and constructs renewable energy projects by forging partnerships with landowners, local communities, power purchasers/marketers, utilities and investors.
