Atlantic Renewable Energy Corporation ("Atlantic Renewable”) is an independent, privately held developer of renewable energy projects active in the Atlantic region of the U.S. Since its inception in 1998, Atlantic Renewable has emerged as the leading developer of windpower projects on the East Coast through the successful implementation of five projects. These projects have a combined nameplate capacity of 162 MW, which represents more than 60% of the installed windpower capacity in this region:

  11.5 MW Madison project in New York - in operation since September 2000;
  30 MW Fenner project in New York - in operation since December 2001;
  15 MW Mill Run project in Pennsylvania - in operation since early October 2001;
  9 MW Somerset project in Pennsylvania - in operation since mid-October 2001;
  66 MW Mountaineer Wind Energy Center in West Virginia – in operation since December  2002.
  30 MW Meyersdale Wind Energy Center in Pennsylvania – scheduled for operation by December 2003.

In addition, Atlantic Renewable currently has six other projects with a combined nameplate capacity in excess of 400 MW under development in New Jersey , New York , Pennsylvania and West-Virginia .
